Boss’s Day Project Number Two
Today I am sharing the second card I created for my teammates at the office for Boss’s Day. This one is for Tina, one of the Managers, I sure hope she likes it. I knew I wanted this project to have a Wow effect like yesterday’s card, so I knew it was going to be a Fun Fold type of card.
Building Block Card
I love my friends over at Splitcoastampers because they have some great tutorials, and that is exactly where I went to find something fun to create. My friend Dina Kowal from Splitcoaststampers created a great and easy to follow video (which I will link for you below).
This is called a “Building Block Card”, and it was truly super easy to create, and you know how much I love easy! I started out with some Thick Whisper White Cardstock cut at 5-1/2″ X 10-1/2″, scored (on the 10-1/2″ side) at 3-1/2″ and 7″.
Fold on all the score lines with your Bone Folder, which you really need to cut a nice crisp fold on Thick Whisper White Cardstock.
This Tri-Fold card creates an impact for anyone who receives it (in my humble opinion), and there are 4 blocks you can add a sentiment or some cute images too. I used some “retired”, GASP!! Little Letters dies from Stampin’ Up! because they worked perfectly in each square. If you don’t have dies this size, use what you have in your stash, stickers, or any images, it will be fine.
I used the Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper to cut out the gorgeoso peacock, and the little letters which spell BOSS and TINA.
Here is a view from the top of the card, the only thing I did differently than what Dina shares on her video is I added a 5-1/2″ X 7″ (scored at 3-1/2″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock to the back of the card so the strips were not left open as she shows in the video.
I added some peacock feathers using the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets and the Detailed Peacock dies.
Thank you for visiting with me today, I hope I have inspired you to go create something beautiful and send it on its way.
