Ride With Me Bundle
This was one of the FIRST bundles I purchased when the New 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up! catalog was released this year. I absolutely love it! So why did it take me 5 months to ink it up and use it? Well, that’s a good question, and the only answer I have is, I usually create when either a need arises, or something catches my eye, a color of a flower, Summer scenes, etc. Today was neither, lol. I just have had this bundle in the back of my mind for months and just decided today was the day. I am glad I did, because now a gazillion ideas are running through my head, and I can’t wait to share them with you. For now, let’s start with a super simple project.
Truck Ride Dies
I wavered between 5 different color cardstock/trucks, I finally settled on Seaside Spray. I started out with a Crumb Cake Card Base cut at 8-1/2″ X 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″. Next, I cut a piece of Seaside Spray Cardstock at 4-1/4″ X 5-1/2″, ran it through the Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder. I used the Stitched Rectangles Die to cut out the layer my truck would sit on. Another scrap piece of Whisper White Cardstock, then stamped my truck image with some Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, along with a separate set of wheels.
Next, I colored my image with the Light & Dark (Combo) Seaside Spray, Light & Dark Smoky Slate, Light & Dark Pumpkin Pie, and, Light & Dark Pool Party Stampin’ Blends. I used the Truck Ride Dies to cut out my pieces, then added my truck to the Whisper White Panel I had previously cut with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a piece of 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim to the Seaside Spray Cardstock Layer, then added my panel to my Crumb Cake card base using Liquid Multipurpose Glue. I tied a bow with the same Braided Linen Trim and added it to my card front with a few Mini Glue Dots and a dot of Liquid Multipurpose Glue to ensure it was not going anywhere.
Shimmery Crystal Effects
I have so missed our Crystal Effects so when this NEW Shimmery Crystal Effects was introduced in the 2019 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog I purchase lots of it, just in case it doesn’t return! I’m really not a hoarder, I just USE my products. I love this stuff!
I added some to the window and the wheel hubs on my little Seaside Spray Truck. It only took about 10 minutes to dry.
And like I do with all my projects I finished up the inside. I had a piece of Corrugated Seaside Spray Cardstock left over, so I trimmed it up and added it to the 4″ X 5-1/4″ Whisper White Cardstock Layer, added some Linen Thread, and topped it off with a bow. I called it done!
Thank you for visiting with me today, I hope I have inspired you to go create something beautiful and send it on its way.
