3D Umbrella Cards
I wanted to try my hand at some 3D Umbrella cards, so I worked on it and came up with these two cuties. It took several tries to get the right size DSP for my project. I have a Full and FREE downloadable tutorial for you below if you’re interested below.
This came together pretty quickly once I figured out the best size to use of the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper for my umbrella (now you don’t have too…:-)
Champagne Shimmer Mist
I like to keep a large container full of my favorite background color on my Whisper White Cardstock when I don’t want it looking so bare. The mixture I used is 10 drops of Balmy Blue Reinker, a dollop of Champagne Paint, and fill the rest up with 70% Isopropyl Alcohol. It creates a subtle, but beautiful light blue shimmer.
Creating a large umbrella handle
I punched out the handle from the Umbrella Builder Punch as a guide for creating my large umbrella handle. Using a sharp pencil, I traced around the umbrella handle as shown in the photo below, then cut it out using my Paper Snips.
I used the Thoughtful Blooms Stamp Set and Small Bloom Punch for my flower, from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog, which you can earn for FREE with the purchase of $50.00 for each from the 2020 Mini Catalog and the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. It’s a great deal that ends all to soon at the end of March.
I sprinkled some From My Heart Faceted Gems on the card front, I love these beautiful gems, they add such sparkle to any project.
