Paper Pumpkin is selling kits in record numbers and May subscriptions have sold out. What does this mean?
Because we have sold out for May:
- New customers will not be able to subscribe until May 11, 2020, and will receive their first kit in June.
- Accounts currently in canceled or suspended status will be allowed to reactivate, but will not receive the May kit. Subscribers that reactivate after we sold out will be reactivated for the JUNE subscription period.
- Subscribers will not be able to modify their kit quantity to add more kits to their May order.
We sincerely appreciate your contribution to Paper Pumpkin’s incredible growth, and we are grateful for your patience as we work to accommodate ever-increasing numbers of subscribers.
April 2020 Paper Pumpkin
The April 2020 Paper Pumpkin so fun this month. As you know Stampin’ Up!’s Paper Pumpkin is a perfect way to get create some fun cards and projects each month which is delivered directly to you, it doesn’t get any easier!
Paper Pumpkin Alternatives
I have two Paper Pumpkin alternatives for you using mostly products in the April 2020 kit. The first project is a card for dad which also holds a gift card on the inside.
The card bases came pre-scored in the kit, so I went with the flow and kept the projects pretty simple, so no additional scoring required.
I cut the Shaded Spruce green end off of the right side of the card base, then cut a 1/4″ piece of the Shaded Spruce piece and adhered it to the right side of my card base. The remainder of the Shaded Spruce green cardstock was adhered to three sides of the inside panel to hold my gift cardholder.
I added my tree, butterfly, and bird to the front of my card base with the mini dimensionals included in the kit. I stamped the father’s day sentiment with my Early Espresso Classic ink. Lastly, for this project, I added some of the Crushed Curry colored pearls (also included in the kit) to the centers of the flowers.
Above is a picture of the completed card as per the instructions in the Paper Pumpkin kit.
When I first opened up my box and saw the stamp set, I thought, Oh, that’s a little hanging basket stamp……wrong! It’s a tree stamp but once the hanging basket thought was in my head, I couldn’t get the image out of my mind, so I went with it.
Again going with the already pre-scored card base, I stamped the “leave” of the tree stamp on a separate scrap piece of Whisper White Cardstock and stamped it with Crumb Cake Classic Ink. I fussy cut it, then sponged the edges and a few places on the inside with my Sponge Dauber and Early Espresso Classic Ink.
I had some flowers from a previous project leftover on my desk so I decided to use them. The floral die cuts are from the In the Tropics dies in the 2020 Mini Catalog using Calypso Coral, Lovely Lipstick, and Highland Heather Cardstocks. The greenery in the basket is from Pear Pizzazz Cardstock I punched with the Sprig Punch.
I added some Stampin’ Dimensionals (included in the kit) to the back edges around my fussy cut “basket”, then used my Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker to draw in some lines from the top to where I am going to place my basket. I added my flowers with more Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered my greenery with some Liquid Multipurpose Glue.
I added some Crushed Curry Pearls to the inside of the flowers. I adhered the die-cut butterfly included in the kit with Liquid Multipurpose Glue and last the little bird inside the basket with a Stampin’ Dimensional. The sentiment from the stamp set included in the kit is stamped on the right side with some Early Espresso Classic Ink.
I added a few flowers and another greenery sprig on the inside of my project, for a sweet, little surprise.
