Beary Valentine
I saw a card on Pinterest with a bear on the front and decided to create my own. I created two projects because I wasnt sure what size of to make his body parts, so I made two.
I used the Layering Circles, Layering Ovals, Many Hearts, and Suit & Tie Dies, Crumb Cake, Real Red, Basic Black, Very Vanilla Cardstock, and some Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper.
For the first project shown here, I used the second to the largest Circle for the head, the smallest Circle for the ears, and the 3rd largest oval for the arms. The eyes were punch with my retired 1/4″ punch and the nose with the retired 1/2″ circle punch. The bowtie is cut with the tie die from the Suit & Tie Dies from the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper.
2nd Bear Project
The second project uses the same dies, except one step down from the dies sizes listed above. I added some Blushing Bride Classic Ink and my Sponge Dauber to the cheeks of my bear. I sponged the outside of the bear elements with some Crumb Cake Classic Ink and my coordinating Sponge Dauber.
Subtles Embossing Folder
To create the look of “fur” to my project, I ran all of the Crumb Cake cardstock through my Stamp’ N Cut and Emboss Machine with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. I used the fine side of my Basic Black Marker to add a smile on my bear face. I added some small highlights on the eyes and nose with my Chalk Marker.
Both bears are holding hearts in their little arms, the largest bear uses the hearts I cut out using the Many Hearts Dies with my Real Red Cardstock, and the smaller bear uses the Be Mine Stitched Dies.
