Today is my oldest son Raul's 32nd Birthday (yes I know I am old I don't need to be reminded, lol).
Anywho, here is the birthday gift I made him.
It's a canvas of my sweet baby boy grandson Ryan Jesse Rodriguez! Such a piece of sugar! I could eat my baby boy up with a spoon!!
I purchased an 11 X 14 canvas as a local craft store. Used some acrylic paints, light, medium, and dark browns to create a "wood" kind of look. Sealed the frame with a "matte" finish, then added my ribbon with a button I sewed on to keep the three loops together. I picked out two "matte" finished pictures, layered them on Close to Coca and Chocolate Chip paper (from Stampin' Up of course!). I distressed the edges, glued all the layers together, added it to my canvas and then, YES, used the "matte sealer over the pictures" to seal them in and protect them.
What do you think? I am posting this early as my son has not received his gift yet so you will be seeing this tomorrow "after" he has opened his gift.
