Mixed Blossom fun

While attending Leadership in San Antonio back in January 2012, this card totally caught my eye.  I love how the maker of the card (not sure who made it as it was in the display area of the Stampin' Up Gather Place) used "outside the box" thinking on this card.

We made this card at my last Workshop……it was tons of fun and oh so easy to make!

We used Pear Pizzaz cardstock (51/2 X 4 1/4") as our base, then added some gorgeous Designer Series Paper from the Ocassions Mini Simply Scrappin' kit (Item # 124006) on page 21 (cut at 5 1/4 X 4"). then we added another layer of Whisper White Cardstock cut at (5" X 3 3/4") ran it through the Stripes Textured Folder (which you can obtain for free when you order anything during the month of March (you can find this embossing folder on page 16 of the Sale-A-Bration catty Item #127710).

After embossing, we took the new and oh so fabulous Blossom Punch on page 16 of the Ocassions Mini (Item # 125603) and punched out the top right side of the flower, only not entirely, we only went in about 3/4 of the way in on the whisper white cardstock.

We added Dimensionals on the back of the Whisper White cardstock to give the 3D illusion.  We then added some nifty Designer Buttons from the Brights Collection (Item # 119747) , and we die cut a flower from the Daisies #2 Die (Item # 114520), and punch out a small Melon Mambo flower from the Boho Blossom Punch (Item # 119858) and a brad from the Brights collection (Items #119740).  We then punched a second Melon Mambo flower from the same Boho Blossom punch and added one of our fabulous Designer Printed Brads (Items #122940).

The buttons were adhered with our wonderful Mini Glue Dots (Item #103683) and the flowers with out Dimensionals (Item #104430) which gives this card the perfect 3D effect.

Until the next  time, remember to hug the ones you love, none of us are promised "tomorrow"!

Blessings, and until the next time, remember to hug the ones you love, none of us are promised tomorrow!
