With Sympathy

Hello Peeps,

Those of you who have followed my blog know I have a "love/hate" relationship with Sympathy Cards.  Although I love to make handmade cards because I can express and show a particular individual(s) how much they mean to me.  Not many folks will take the time to put love and care in a card with their hands, and prefer to run to a store and buy a dollar card,  sign it and send it out.  O.K., enough of that.

I had the priveledge of knowing two beautiful people who have gone on to be with the Lord.  I am happy they are no longer in pain, walking the streets of gold and oh those reunions, don't you know they are "grand"!!

Well, because I loved them so much, I have made 7 Sympathy cards, for their fabulous family left to grieve.  Here are 2 of the 7 I have made.

Sympathy 1

I used the Hello Doily Stamp Set as my focal point on the card.  The card base is Wisteria Wonder, then embossed with White EP, and then sponged with Wisteria Wonder Ink Pad.  In addition iI punched out and sponged some Boho Blossom Flowers from the punch and added a rhinestone to give it some bling (you know I love my bling, bling).

Sympathy 2I used the stamp set "Tenny Tiny Wishes", and Wister Wonder Ink to bring the look together.

Sympathy 3This is number 2 of 7.  I used one of our fabulous new stamp sets, Summer Silhouettes, and if I didn't tell you, I believe you would not see where I covered up a little boo boo….:-)  Gotta watch those new "juicy" ink pads, I'm getting better, but still forget sometimes.

Sympathy 4

If you look closely at the sentiment, again, from Teeny Tiny Wishes, is longer the the Key Tag Punch I used, but I fixed it and made it work.  How you ask?  I punched out the sentiment with the word window punch first, then inserted only the front part of the punched sentiment inside the Key Tag punch, then after I got the top done, I simply snipped the other end with a straight cut and wala, a longer Key Tag punch!  Cool Eh?

Until the next  time, remember to hug the ones you love, none of us are promised "tomorrow"!

Blessings, and until the next time, remember to hug the ones you love, none of us are promised tomorrow!
