Blessed with Sweet, Kindhearted Friends

I love my awesome friends.  I don't know what I would do without them.  You know that old saying, you can't pick your family, but you can pick your friends (yes, it's backwards, intentionally), and "Praise the Lord" he has brought some awesome friends into my life.

I don't normally share a lot of personal stuff on my blog, but I must to in order for you to understand why I adore my friends, and how they love on me.

My momma has Alzheimer's, is 91 (Lord willing will be 92 on October 11th), however, this horrible disease has taken it's toll on her body.  She is now completely bedridden, not eating, and we are just here in Georgia, waiting for "the call" when she takes a turn for the inevidable, and fly out to El Paso, TX to be by her side.  I love her so much, I can't even begin to explain.  She has been the "wing beneath my wings" and will miss her with all my heart.

Knowing this, my sweet and special friends, along with my "awesome" upline Patty Bennett whom I consider a fabulous, tender-hearted friend too have sent me these cards below.  I love my cards, but I love "their heart" more than anything else.  Patty checks on me, prays for me, Shelly is "always" ready to lend a had for "whatever" I need, whenever it is needed.  And Barbara-Jean, well, she is just awesome.  With all the stuff she has going on in her own personal life, she offered to take over my classes, etc. when the time came this month (have lots of classes, etc. scheduled this month), and told me not to worry about a thing, she would take care of it all.  When I say "my cup runneth over", I can only tell you, I "feel" the love from these ladies, literally.  Not because they sent me a card, not because the told me they loved me and would be praying for our family.  I love them because I "see" their selfless love for me/others.

Some folks will never know this kind of friendship and it makes me sad, and I will always be grateful to these fabulous women and all the other sweet friends who have said they are praying for us.  So with that being said, if you see I haven't posted on my blog in a few days, you will know why.  My momma will have "crossed the Jordan, and is in the arms of Jesus".

This card is from Barbara-Jean, and it is absolutely stunning!  My picture does not do it any justice.

This gem is from my fabulous upline, Patty Bennett.  It's a hybrid card and again simply stunning, with fabulous dimension.  She added some additional layers, dimensionals, etc.  You would not know it was a hybrid card til you turned it over and read the recipe for the card.

As you can see, the inside of the card is just as fabulous as the rest of the card.

And here is this beauty from Shelly, using the Triple Time Stamping Technique, only she used Designer Series Paper instead!  How clever is that?  She is simply amazing!

Here is a close up of her technique.
