Another lovely friend of mine is sick, and I wanted to send her a card to let her know I am praying and thinking about her (gosh lots of folks with the flu this year or what?)…..sorry, got sidetracked there for a moment.
Here is the card, may I tell you how much I LOVE this Swallotail Stamp! It is pretty big as you can see by the image. I admit, at first glance in our Spring Catalog I thought good grief I would never use that big old butterly. Well, duh! After I saw one posted online I immediatley ordered it! As you can see I embossed it on some Natural Ivy Cardstock, them
embossed it with our superfine awesome Stampin' Up embossing powder
(remember before you emboss, make sure you use our "embossing buddy"
over the cardstock to get rid of static cling, etc. I then sponged the butterfly with More Mustard, and Marina Mist Classic Ink. I used the "Everything Eleanor" stamp set for a bit of the background, and the sentiment is from "Perfectly Penned".
Well, what do you think?
I then proceeded to cut my butteryfly out, layered her with dimensionals on another larger piece of Natural Ivory cardstock, and then, placed it on my base cardstock which is 4 1/4 X 5b 1/2. So what do ya think?
You know I had to stamp the inside with a piece of the butterflies wing….eek!
