Previously I shared some beautiful flowers made on a card, now take a gander of the beautiful women, creating beautiful flowered cards. I am sure you will agree. Stick around to the bottom of the post, I have measurements, etc for each of the cards.
Briefly, I shared this quick snapshot of the card class I had scheduled this week, here:
We always have a good time when we get together to create, and this time was no exception. As a matter of fact, one of the gals (thanks Sharon), reminded me I hadn't taken pictures yet. Then I remembered, oh no, I forgot to take pictures of my lovelies in the morning class…….boohooo.
Here is sweet Judy explaining something, but I can't remember what it was, but I do remember taking the picture to capture the intensity of her helping a fellow stamper……wish I could remember what it was…..it stinks to get old people!
Here is my sweet friend Mary C., she was obviously shocked by what was being discussed, and I couldn't help but post this pic….(I did tell her before I posted it), but I love the look on her face. It captures the fun and conversations we have in class. So much fun!
Here is Brenda G. and Cynthia S. sharing their beautifully completed cards. Lovely women who bring so much to our gatherings.
Here is Judy S. and Sharon W., with some of their completed cards. Sharon has hers securely in a ziplock bag already so they aren't disturbed on her way home. Great cards ladies, and beautiful creatin'.
Here is a quick look at the cards, some quick instruction and measurements for your viewing pleasure. Please be sure to drop me a note if you have any questions…….always love to hear from all of you.
Crushed Curry cardstock: Cut at 4 1/4'' x 11" piece, scored at 5 1/2" , Whisper White cardstock: cut at 4" x 5 1/4''. Stamp the Large Flower from the Flower Patch Stamp Set on Whisper White cardstock in Crisp Cantaloupe Classic Ink. Also stamp the 23 Petal Flower in Crisp Cantaloupe, and then stamp the 10 spiky petal flower (love the lingo here?) in the center of the 23 Petal Flower with Calypso Coral Classic Ink. Lastly, stamp the tiniest flower in the set with Crushed Curry. Stamp the leaves with Pear Pizzazz for the large solid leaf with Pear Pizzazz and the inside stems with Old Olive Classic Ink.
Use the matching Framelits to die cut all the pieces out. So "easy" with our Magnetic Plate! Then, simply Snail (or use my favorite, Fast Fuse double sided adhesive to place your leaves on the Whisper White cardstock, and then layer the flowers, from the largest to the smallest by using our fabulous dimensionals to give it the perfect 3D look. Adhere your Whisper White completed piece to the Crushed Curry Card base using your Fast Fuse or favorite double sided adhesive. Use whatever sentiment to you like on this card, as it can literally be used for "any" occasion! I always place a piece of Whisper White cardstock inside of the card if the colored base I am using is darker than a normal writing pen, and as you can see here on this picture, you can add a little bit of stamping on the inside too…. I love to this with most all of my cards. The inside piece is cut at 4" x 5 1/4''.
I won't go into too much detail on cutting going forward as two of the cards are cut from the measurements above and the other two from the measurements here. Crushed Curry cardstock: Cut at 8 1/2'' x 5 1/2" piece, scored at 4 1/2" , Whisper White cardstock: a 4" x 5 1/4''. Stamp the greeting of your choice first on the lower right portion of the Whisper White cardstock. I would also like to mention, if you notice here, the leaves are stamped at a slight angle, that is because these photopolymer stamps are so "flexible", I took the leave stamp, place the bottom of the stem on my block first and slightly "curved" it to create the applied effect. Cool, right? Ok, stamp the leaf with the Pear Pizzaz Classic Ink, and then randomly stamp the flowers on the card. I used Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana, and Crushed Curry Classic Ink for the flowers. Add some Rhinestones (or bling, bling as we call it) to the Coastal Cabana flowers, and you are done!
This card uses the same measurements as the above card, stamp the 5 petal flower in Coastal Cabana, and the smaller flower sitting on top of that flower in Crushed Curry Classic Ink on a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock. Use the coordinating Framelits to cut out the pieces. Stamp the 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Whisper White Cardstock with the 23 petal flower in Crisp Cantaloupe and then stamp the Spiky flower inside the flower with Crisp Cantaloupe Classic Ink. Stamp the small solid leaf with Pear Pizzazz where you would like them on your card. Next, stamp the sentiment, again, anyone you like, with Momento Ink on the Center of the Card. Next add dimensionals to all the remaining pieces and add to the card, your done!
Ok, the last card is easy peasy, and if you look closely, I punched out the sentiment on the bottom right with the Oval Scallop Punch, "however" that was not my intention. Lol, I added the sentiment and it was crooked, so I stamped it again on another scrap piece of Whisper White Cardstock and then adhered it to the card with Fast Fuse……whew….didn't have to start over. So, that being said, and you know I am "not" the perfect stamper. The large Flower Petals are stamped in Coastal Cabana and the inside 23 Petal Flower is stamped with Bermuda Bay Classic Ink. The inside portion of the flower is stamped on a piece of scrap Whisper White cardstock using Crushed Curry Classic Ink and punched out with a 3/4" circle punch. Dimensionals on the back of the punched piece and Rhinestones/bling added the center of that flower, and several more near the sentiment.
Hope I didn't bore you too much, and you will be back soon to see what new creations I am creatin'!
