Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

Can you believe it is officially 2017?  Where in the world did 2016 go?  I tell you, the older I get, the "faster" my years go by.  I told you on my last post I was going to share a tutorial on the drapery fold, and I had every intention of doing so, however, I came down with the "bug", and still sound quite stuffy.  So give me a few more days, and I will deliver!

Today, I am just glad to be alive, and bringing you this fun card.

Falling In Love Designer Series Paper, Occasions 2017

I am not fast to gravitate toward toward cards that are not, well, symmetrically put together.  This card is one of those.  I decided to try something different for me, and I must say, I did end up liking it a lot.

I used some of the "new" Occasions 2017 Catalog paper called, Falling In Love.  Yes, I have fallen in love with it too.  One of my besties and I got together a week ago and worked on a few cards.  This is one of the cards we made.  Well, we made two of them, one with small butterflies, and the second with larger butterflies.  I like the smaller butterflies much more.  We used two dies from the "Big" catalog……..Bold Butterfly Framelits, and they Butterflies Thinlits.  We cut the butterflies out with vellum cardstock, and added song bling on the body, and it also covered up the glue dots we used to adhere it to the card.

That's all for today, but come back soon, I have lots more to share.  I'm so glad I am feeling like I am going to live, as it was a rough few weeks!
