I decided to CASE our 2017 Occasions Catalog with the Dragonfly Dreams Stamp set and matching Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies. Check out page 26 of the catty, then take a gander at these cards below.
They are "almost identical…I didn't add the real stitching on these cards, but I like how they turned out. I used some Watercolor Cardstock on the bottom 2/3 of the card, and on the top 2" I used the Carousel Birthday Designer Series Paper. I just loved the colors together in the catty, so I had to replicate it.
I didn't use the same sentiment on all three cards, (yes, you know 3 is better than 1, right?)….I digress…So I used two different sentiments. These cards can really use any type of sentiment you might need. I hope you enjoyed visiting today. Here are the quick details of the cards:
Details:
Card Base is Early Expresso 5-1/2 x 4-1/4"
First Layer Crumb Cake is 4" x 5-1/4"
Top Carousel Birthday Layer 2" x 3-3/4"
Watercolor Paper 4" x 3-3/4"
I spritzed the Watercolor Paper with plain water first, then picked up some So Saffron from the top of the Ink Pad, and swirled on the top half of the Watercolor Paper, then did the same thing on the bottom half with the Bermuda Bay Ink Pad. I then inked up the spots stamp from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set, and stamped directly onto the coordinating colors. I used the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set with the dots, and inked and lightly stamped on the Watercolor Paper with Early Expresso Ink.
I inked and stamped one of the Dragonfly stamps on Whisper white cardstock with Early Expresso ink. I used the matching Thinlit dies to cut out the inked dragonfly, a Bermuda Bay Dragonfly, and a Gold Foil Dragonfly. I adhered everything with Tombow adhesive except for the Early Expresso inked Dragonfly, which is popped up with some dimensionals. I tied a bow with some Twine, adhere it to the dragonfly with a glue dot, then adhered a large pearl on top of the bow, and another one on the Gold Foil Dragonfly as well. Done!
