A Sneak Peek

Hello my creative crafty friends.  I have a sneak peek for you of an upcoming stamp set from the new 2017/2018 Stampin' Up! catalog.  I won the set at our OnStage event in Savannah, Georgia.  Here is a quick fun card I created.

Oh So Eclectic 1

The Oh So Eclectic Stamp Set is a watercolor type stamp set, but instead I use the lined flowers only on this card.  Don't know why, I just did.  I stamped the flower on our Watercolor Paper with Versamark Ink and then spread some White Embossing Powder on it, and heat embossed them.  For the leaves, I inked up the stamp with Versamark, then stamped, then inked it up with Wild Wasabi Classic Ink, and then stamped them on the Watercolor Paper.  I sprinkled some Clear Embossing Powder, and then heat set it with our Heat Tool.

Oh So Eclectic 2

I used one of my paint brushes and watercolor the flowers using our Rich Razzleberry  and Tangerine Tango Classic Ink.  The color was a bit flat, so I "winked it", with some Clear Wink of Stella.  Brought these babies too life!  I love that stuff.

Oh So Eclectic 3

I sponged inside the circle with some Soft Sky Classic Ink in the center of the Smoky Slate Cardstock, which sits atop a piece of our Thick Whisper White Cardstock.  It's hard to see in this photo, but it's there, I promise.

The sentiment is from the Oh So Eclectic Stamp Set, and I inked the stamp with Versamark, then stamped it quickly on the Momento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad and then on the Thick Whisper White Cardstock, sprinkeld some Clear Embossing Poweder, and heat set it as well.

I also popped up the Smoky Slate piece of cardstock with dimensionals for a little lift.  I hope my friend who is in the hospital will enjoy this card. She is a cheerful and always happy 88 year old friend of mine whom I dearly love.

Here is the details of my card:

Thick Whisper White Cardstock – 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"

Smoky Slate Cardstock – 4-1/8" x 5-3/8"

1 full Sheet of Watercolor Paper

Using the Circles Framelits Dies, and the largest circle, I centered it as best I could on the Smoky Slate Cardstock and ran it through the Big Shot.

I stamped the flowers on the Watercolor Paper with Versamark, and sprinkled them with White Embossing Powder, then heat set them with our Heat Tool.  I inked the leaves with Versamark, then onto Wild Wasabi Classic Ink and stamped onto the Watercolor Paper.  I sprinkled Clear Embossing Powder, and heat set them.  I used my #4 Round Paintbrush and color in the flowers with Rich Razzleberry and Tangerine Tango Classic Ink.  I then fussy cut them all.  (very relaxing for me).

I center the Smoky Slate Cardstock on my Thick Whisper White base, and using a pencil, drew a line around the circle.  I used my sponge dauber, and sponged inside the circle with Soft Sky Classic Ink.  I then erased my pencil line, and added dimensionals to the back of the Smoky Slate cardstock.  "Before" I adhered the Smoky Slate to the Whisper White card base, I inked up the sentiment with Versamark, inked up quickly with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink and stamped on the white card base, sprinkled Clear Embossing Powder and heat set it.

Next, I adhered my Smoky Slate layer, then added my flowers and leaves with dimensionals.  I thought they flowers looked flat, so I used my Clear Wink of Stella on all of it.  That's it, done!

Hope you enjoyed your visit with me, and will come back to visit me soon, I do appreciate ya.
