Love & Affection

So I was looking through my stamp sets and noticed my Love & Affection Stamp Set had received "zero" love, and felt bad, so I decided to use it.  I decided on thank you cards as I use them constantly.  Because I am a grateful person.

Affection 1

Although the cards are quite simple, I thought they totally fit the bill.  I started by selecting the Designer Series Paper, and chose the Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I cut it down to 2" x 4-1/2".

Affection 6

Here is my first card, it's pretty simple, but pretty.  As I continued to creations, I decided the card needed a little more "stepped up look", so I looked around at my dies to see what I could use as a border punch, and settled on the Flourish Thinlits dies, the single one which makes a cute long edge.  I used some Crumb Cake cardstock to pull the color from the Designer Series Paper.

Affection 2

I really liked it popped up on some dimensionals, and I also only stamped half of the cardbase on this card, instead of the full card like I did with the others.  It's tone on tone with the large flower from the Love & Affection Stamp Set and some Night of Navy Classic Ink.

  Affection 5

Because I used a dark cardstock, ( Night of Navy), I like to add a light inside panel so when I write my message.  Also, I dolled it up a bit with some of the flower I stamped on on the outside.  Easy Peasy.  Recipe listed below.

I thank you again for coming back to visit me, and hope you stop by often for some fun and new fabulous shares, cause you know our new catalog is going to be released soon, and we as demonstrators not only get the first peek at it, but we also get to order the product a month early!  If you are interested in becoming a Stampin' Up! Recipe:

Night of Navy Cardstock 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" scored at 4-1/4"

Affectionately Yours Designer Series Papaer 2" x 4-1/2"

Whisper White Cardstock 4 x 5-1/4"

Flourish Thinlits Dies

Scrap pieces of Crumb Cake Cardstock

Score and fold the Night of Navy cardstock.  Cut your Edge pieces from the Flourish Thinlits, and adhere with Tombow Multi, one to each side of the 2'x 4-1/2" piece of Designer Paper,  Add some dimensionals to the banner piece.  Now ink up the large flower, stamp randomly on the cardbase.  Adhere the Designer Series Strip.  Stamp your sentiment, and cut out with a punch, or as I did with the Stitched Shaped Framelit dies.  Add some ribbon if you like, or even a small paper clip from the Occasions Catalog.  Don't forget the inside piece, with some stamped flowers as well.  You're done!
