Just Writing a Note

I am sad to see the Writing Notes Stamp Set leaving our catalog.  Especially when we have a fun new stamp set I feel would work wonderfully with this stamp set.

Writing Notes 3

Do you see a little sneak peek of the pen on this card?  Wink, wink.  I love, love, love this new stamp set, but I digress.  I used the Writing Notes Stamp Set to create this fun Customer Thank You card for my Stamp Club members.

I also used the Thankful Thoughts and Bloomin' Love stamp set for this fun, quick, and easy one layer card.  Well, there is some fussy cutting of then pen, however, as I have said in the past, this is very relaxing for me.  Yep, no dimensionals, can you believe it?

Writing Notes 2

I appreciate your taking the time to visit my blog today.  I know how valuable your time is, and hope I have inspired you a little to make something creative today.

Details:

Soft Sky Cardstock – 8-1/2" X 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"

Whisper White Cardstock – 5-1/2" X 4-1/4"

Fold and score your Soft Sky card base in half, set aside.

Ink up the Writing Notes Stamp Set with Soft Sky Classic Ink Pad. Take the Real Red Stampin' Write Marker and carefully ink up, (using the brush tip side) ink the double line on the stamp set.  Take the 5-1/2" X 4-1/4" Whisper White cardstock, place a scrap piece of paper over the stamp set, and lightly burnish to ensure full coverage.  I used the Stampin' Trimmer to trim out the stamped cardstock to 3-3/4" x 5".

Using a 1/4" punch of your choice (I used the retired 1/4" Stampin' Up punch), punch out 3 circles on the  stamped cardstock to mimic a piece of school paper…… 🙂

Now ink up the Thank you sentiment with Basic Black Memento Ink, and stamp on the Whisper White Cardstock.  I inked up the flower from the Bloomin' Love Stamp Set shown on the card with Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink Pad, and using a Q-tip, removed the ink from the flower.  Using the Real Red Stampin' Write Marker, lightly tap on the flower image for full coverage.  Huff, and stamp.

I inked up the upcoming "Crafting Forever" Stamp Set with Black Memento Ink, and colored in the pen with the Flirty Flaming, and Soft Sky Stampin' Write Markers.  Then I used my Stampin' Up Paper Snips to fussy cut the pen.

I used the Tombow Multi-Mono Liquid Glue to adhere the pen on the Whisper White piece, and then onto my Soft Sky Card Base.

Next, I used a red Sharpie Marker, and colored in a Rhinestone, and one of the Metallic Enamel Shapes Silver Shapes and adhered them as shown……done!
