Team Meeting and a Big Girl Birthday

So we had our Luv2StampinGa Team Meeting last Saturday, and I tell you, we always have a good time.  This past one was no different.  I have some fabulous Team Members who always are active in participating on most anything.

Team Meeting August 2017

We had 11 ladies swapping this month, and I will be sharing each card individually with you later on this week. Here is a picture of all the cards swapped, just after we were done voting.  I do "we", however, I don't participate in the voting, I just count the votes!

The swaps were absolutely lovely!  Each and everyone beautiful, and unique.  I love them all.  So glad I don't vote, it would be too hard to decide which is my favorite!

Princess Poppy - Troll 1

My only granddaughter (I have 6 boys and 1 girl)j, has a Big Girl Birthday today, 5 years old!  I asked her what kind of birthday she wanted, anticipating it was going to be a princess card, I thought I have this covered.  And lo and behold, she says a Troll!  I said a what?  Princess Poppy, the Troll.  I gulp, who the heck is that?  You know we grandparents must stay on top of the "latest" and greatest with our grandchildren, and obviously I was not doing a good job!

So I looked up Princess Poppy, Troll.  Yeah, well no stamp sets for this little card.  All hand drawn and cut, except for a few of the pieces on the card.  Now Don't laugh, it's the best I could do in a pinch.  Remember, I thought I had this covered, not!

Princess Poppy - Troll 3

As you can see from this up close shot, it;s a very rudimentary card, but I did it!  I used small flowers from the Banquet Bunch Framelits,  our 2" punch, Balloon Banquet punch, and a NEW upcoming punch called the Every Day Label Punch!  So I guess it worked out.  Good thing she is only five, and hopefully won't mind this hand cut, pieced together card.

Princess Poppy - Troll 2

I will spare you the gory details on how long this took to research, draw, cut/create.  Suffice it to say, I am hope she grows out of this one particular "princess" figure. lo

The cardstock colors are Melon Mambo, Marina Mist, Lemon Lime Twist, Whisper White , and Daffodil Delight.  As always, thank you for stopping by, and hope you will be back soon as I share more details about the Swap Cards from our Team Meeting.
