Watercolor the Painted Harvest Stamp Set

Hello my creative crafty friends!

I decided to ink up my Painted Harvest Stamp Set again, and this time I tried my hand at this Watercoloring technique, on our Watercolor Paper.

I really enjoyed myself, and if you look closely, every single one of them is different.  So much fun, because guess what?  You simply can't go wrong!  I mean it's watercolor, right?

I know you can't see it on this pic, but I added some Soft Sky Classic Ink to the area around the flower and leaves.  I looked to stark for me without it.  I simply diluted some reinker on a plate and mopped it up with my Aquapainter, and just swooshed it over the card.

Here are a few tips on how I put this together in case you're interested…. :-)

I used our Watercolor Paper. First, I created a fun palette of color by using some baby wipes and reinker drops of Daffodil Delight/Crushed Curry for the outer flower. Pumpkin Pie, and Tangerine Tango for the inner portion of the flower, Pear Pizzazz, plus Old Olive for the leaves, and Soft Suede and Early Espresso for the center of the flower. Second, I "spritzed" the paper lightly to ensure a good grasp of color. Stamped each layer, over and over until I received the desired affect (which is why they are ALL different). Next, I just the Soft Sky Classic Ink, and my Aquapainter to add some sky looking affect around the flower, so it wasn't so stark. I embossed the sentiment with our Gold Embossing powder, and finally added some of the new Black Rhinestones from the new 2017 Holiday Catalog.

The Watercolor paper was cut at 3 3/4" X 5", the Early Espresso Mat was cut at 3 7/8" X 5 1/8", and the Thick Very Vanilla cardbase was cut at 4 1/4" X 11", scored at 5 1/2".

Not sure you can see it, but I also "winked it a bit" at the center of the flower, and along the skeleton lines of the leaves.

If you would like additional details or even a tutorial on this technique, but sure and leave me a comment, and I will be happy to put one together for ya!

Thank you for stopping by to visit with me today, and hope you will come back soon.
