I came across this adorable little tin at the Dollar Store, and new I had to perform a transformation on it.
So the time is just adorable, if you going to use it for a younger person, but I wanted mine for a bit more mature audience. Here is the beginning of the transformation.
My handsome, handy husband spray painted the tins with Gold Krylon spray paint purchased at Lowe’s, no prep work needed, just spray and allow to dry.
Here is the after! I used the Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper, and fun Foil Snowflakes in the 2017 Holiday Catalog. For the Rosette, I used the “Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper (the snowflake piece).
This adorable tin will hold a set of Note Cards and envelopes! I think this is going to make a fun Teacher, Friend, anything Gift. Wait, can you see these used for Valentine’s Day coming soon? Yep, but I’ll wait and share those with you later…..wink….wink….. 😉
I used the greeting from the Santa’s Suite Stamp Set, also located in the 2017 Holiday Catalog as well.
Do you see the pretty greenery and small red bow? Yep, it’s from the Ready For Christmas Bundle! I love pulling together a project and using all of my goodies, don’t you?
Here is a close up of the rosette on the tin, which is cut at 1-1/4″ X 12″, and scored every 1/4″.
I used a 1″ punched circle and “hot” glue” to keep the rosette together. This is the only thing I have found works to really keep this pretties from coming apart. Be careful, that thing will burn you!!!
