When I woke up this morning, I was “not” thinking, I want to make a sympathy card, however, after receiving a call at 8:30am to tell me my dear friend Lolly had passed away, that’s exactly what I set out to do.
This card was sent today to Johnny S., and I wanted it to convey a simple yet always heart wrenching sentiment for me to use, “with sympathy”, from the Rose Wonder Stamp Set. I hope the card, and my thoughts inside convey just how much Lolly was loved, and has left a footprint in my heart forever. You see, 5 of us were headed to hospice to say our final goodbyes to Lolly today, but we never got the chance. Although I know she is walking the streets of gold as we speak, I still would have liked to tell her one last time how much she is loved, and what her friendship meant to me. This is why I “always” sign off on my blog with, “Hugs the ones you love, none of are promised tomorrow!”
I love to coordinate my cards, and that is exactly what I did here using the Petal Passion Embellishments, Rhinestones, and the Stampin’ Blend Alcohol Markers. I colored in the center of the flower, and my Rhinestones with the Dark Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Blend Marker. I used my Stampin’ Blend Markers to color in the flowers, bird, leaves, and embellishments. Here I used the Light and Dark Pink Pirouette, Light and Dark Old Olive, and the Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Blends. I stamped the images with our Petal Palette Stamp Set and I used Memento Black Ink. This is a simple, single layer card, with the stamped images popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
