Rose Wonder Sympathy

One of my co-workers lost her daddy last week, such a sad time for her and the family.  I created this card for her today.

Albeit simple, it conveys thoughtful wishes, would you agree?  I used the Rose Wonder Stamp Set and coordinating dies (actually I dusted the stamp set off, since it’s quite a while since I used it).  Can you see I used our Shimmery White cardstock as my top white layer?  It stands up a lot better to water than our Whisper White cardstock alone.

If you had seen “this”, before the card was put together, you probably would have thought this was a hot mess!  Well, my husband did when he walked in to ask me a question, lol.  He actually said, did you spill something?  Ha!

I used our Aqua Painter, and the palette of both the Pink Pirouette and Flirty Flamingo, and Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink pads to create my base.  Just add a beautiful coordinating die cut from Thick Whisper White cardstock, and you get a beautiful card.  I love how things come together.

I added some Wink of Stella (because it makes everything bettah!), and I believe you can see it on this photo here.  It’s really much prettier in person, well, at least I think it is.

Flirty Flamingo Cardstock Base: 8-1/2″ X 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″

Basic Black Cardstock layer: 4-1/8″ X 5-3/8″

Shimmery White Cardstock: 4″ X 5-1/4″, plus a scrap piece for the sentiment
