I’m participating in somewhat of a swap with some Stampin’ Friends. We were given the name of an individual, and we are to create a Valentine type card to send them. Here is my creation below. I didn’t want it to be “too lovey dovey”, but I did want it to represent Valentine’s Day.
And guess what? “Again” this is a “no stamping” card. How did I do that again, lol. I love, love, love this beautiful Petal Garden Designer Series Paper. The 6″ X 6″ paper stacks have the perfect sized images for a handmade card. Yummy!
The Calypso Coral Shimmer Ribbon I used is a FREEBIE from the 2018 Sale-A-Bration Catalog. I love how perfect it matches! Just “one” of the many things I love about using Stampn’ Up Product. And what’s even better, is it is free.
To create some lift and dimension, I used the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, and ran it through the Big Shot twice on Thick Whisper White cardstock. Adhered both pieces together to give it some tooth. I then used the edge piece of the Stampn’ Dimensionals and cut a long thin strip, cut it up in pieces and strategically placed it behind the sentiment. I added a few pearls and I called it done!
Here are the details for this fun card:
Thick Whisper White cardstock – 8 1/2″ X 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″, a few scraps for the sentiment
Petal Garden Designer Series Paper – 2″ X 5 1/4″ for the top layer, and 2 1/4″ X 5 1/4″ for the bottom layer
Shimmer Ribbon Combo Pack – The Calypso Coral one
Thank you for stopping by today, and I hope I have motivated you to go create something beautiful. A handmade card is a like a “hug with a fold in the middle”.
If you would like to order any of the products I used on this card, I have them listed below, and all you need to do is click on the item and you will be taking directly to my online store.

beautiful!
Thank you so much Ms. Carol, I appreciate ya!
Love the card! Will be casing for my next class. I think you meant to say that your dimensions on the designer paper are 5-1/4 in length rather than 4-1/4 .
Thank you Terri M. for catching my error, which I have now corrected. Appreciate the heads up girl!
