Tropical Chic Shaker Card
Summer has hit full fore here in Georgia and today I was “feeling” the tropical like weather! That means, hot days, with some quick rain showers to make it nice and sticky! I wanted something cool looking, and I think I achieved the “look” I was going for, what do you think?
I created a thank you card, but I think this would make a fun Birthday Card too. The square in the coordinating Tropical Thinlits measures 2-3/4″ X 2-3/4″, so I cut a piece of 3″ X 3″ piece of Granny Apple Green Cardstock (I adore this color), and then placed the palm leaves die on top, and this created a 1/4″ square around the die. Next I cut a piece of Window Sheet at 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ and adhered it to the cut leaves. I added some of the Foam Adhesive Strips on the 3″ square to create my shaker.
I used the same die to cut out some of the leaves in the New Shaded Spruce Cardstock, I placed inside the shaker square along with some Iridescent Sequins.
The sentiment and flower is from the Tropical Chic Stamp Set, I really like the font. Be sure and order this set as a bundle to save 10% when purchasing. The cute flower which I stamped in Blushing Bride on Thick Whisper White Cardstock was my final touch. I used some of the Tropical Escape 6″ X 6″ Designer Series Paper Stack and adhered it to the entire front of the card. The DSP has such fun and pretty images, so Summery.
