Card 4 of 4 from Painted Glass
This is the final installment (well almost, stay with me) of the Painted Glass ensemble. On this card I embossed the images with our returning Black Embossing Powder. on the Stampin’ Up Vellum Cardstock. I first of course used the Embossing Buddy to ensure those pesky fly aways didn’t interfere with my stained glass look. This little bag is worth “every penny”. I have had mine for 8 years, and it’s finally time to order a new one.
Like the previously made cards I have shared, I used the Stained Glass Thinlit Dies on this card, and the little bird I have sitting on my window sill. I colored my images in with our Stampin’ Blends, using the same colors below.
Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Pink, Calypso Coral, Old Olive, Bronze, and Color Lifter Blends. If you make a little mistake on velum, it is “very forgiving”. and color lifter saves the day!!
So this card I created as you can see because a friend of mine lost her son last week. Such a horrible thing to happen, we should “never” have to bury our children. I feel for her deeply because we lost a son 25 years ago in a traffic accident. I used the Graceful Glass Designer Series Paper with the image shown above. I also used the New Tufted Dynamic Impressions Embossing Folder, and I love, love, love it. My photo does not do this card justice.
I want to thank you for visiting with me today, and I sure hope I have inspire you to go create something beautiful and send it on its way. I know whoever the recipient is will be blessed by you!
I have listed the items I used on both of these cards for you below. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.

These are very pretty, Gloria…TFS!
These are very beautiful My question is about the stained glass card with the butterflies….the Thank you card. How did you get the window pieces to stay in place? Did you glue the pieces back in?
Hi Kim, thank you for your kind comment. I cut out the windows with the Stained Glass dies, then added a piece of vellum (the previously stamped and colored with my blendies piece of vellum with the butterflies) to the back of the window, avoiding any part of the velum you would see from the front, and then lastly, I added the cut out of the windows with some Multipurpose liquid glue….make sense? If not, let me know and I will send you a pic of what I am describing.
