Hand Delivered for a 90th Birthday

Hand Delivered for a 90th Birthday

So if you recall, several weeks ago I shared some invitations I made for a dear friend of mine for her upcoming birthday, her 90th birthday!!  I loved creating the cards for my friend (really she is my second momma), and I was so happy when she gave me two thumbs up approval.

Fast forward 3 weeks later, and my sweet friend Mary Clarke celebrated her 90th Birthday Party on Sunday, July 15, 2018.  We had such a grand time celebrating this huge milestone with my friend.  It was a packed house for sure!!  So I needed a birthday card for my sweet momma, a the New Hostess Set called Hand Delivered was the stamp set I reached for!  It spoke Happy Birthday to me, and I just love all the fun balloons.

I stamped the image on Watercolor Paper with the returning Stazon Ink, and then proceeded to color it in with my Aquapainter and the following inks, Bermuda Bay, Highland Heather, Mango Melody, and Crushed Curry.

After I finished coloring the images, I fussy cut the image.  Then I took a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and sponged some Bermuda Bay Ink on the left side of the layer, then faded out to nothing as I moved toward the right.  I also lightly sponged around the sentiment with the  Bermuda Bay Ink as well.

I used a piece of Tea Room Specialty Designer Series Paper on the left side of the Whisper White Layer.  Just a small strip as to not take away from the image and sentiment, which I wanted to be my main focal point.

As you can see from the coloring, I am “not” an expert, lol, but I love creating and I love coloring, so this card fit the bill for my two favorite things to work on.

I have a few photos of my sweet friend to share with you, she is the cutest thing, and stands about 4′ 11″.  I love her to pieces and look forward to celebrating her 100th in ten years!!

Look at how cute she looks, and she is always prim an proper with her hair coifed and make up on, always!

This gorgeous and delicious cake was created by one of Mary’s friends, and let me tell you it was as delicious as it was gorgeous!  Yummy!

Here is the Birthday Invitation I created for Mary’s birthday, which I blogged about several weeks ago.

And as long as I am sharing.  My sweet grandson Ryan Jesse shares a birthday with Ms. Mary Clarke, they were both born on July 16th.  In fact, for Mary’s 80th Birthday Party ten years old, (I was supposed to be at that party too), I was at the hospital anxious waiting for this fella’s birth.  So he officially has a double digits birthday!  Happy 10th Birthday Ryan, we love you more than words can ever express.  My heart is full!!

Thank you so much for visiting with me today, and I hope I have inspired you to create, and color something beautiful, then send it on its way.

I so appreciate your business.  I have included all the products I used for this project below for your convenience.  Also you can download the supply list if that works better for you.

Blessings, and until the next time, remember to hug the ones you love, none of us are promised tomorrow!
