Happy Retirement my Dear Friend

A dear friend at work, Gloria G. is retiring in a few short weeks, and I created this retirement card for her. I am so going to miss my sweet friend.  When I am not feeling well she always checks on me to be sure I am getting better, and I do the same with her.  I feel like we have this kindred spirit and we both love the Lord!!

I just returned from OnStage in Florida!

I returned from our convention Stampin’ Up! calls, OnStage in Orlando, Florida.  My hubby went with me this year, and he was able to actually attend and hang out with me inside the convention center.  He was quite impressed with how well the event was organized.

There were 9 of us from my Luv2StampinGa Team who attended, and I so enjoyed getting to spend time with them, we even had a fun Shoebox Swap Night, and everyone created some pretty fantastic projects!  I’ll share those with you here very soon.

The event is filled with lots of great information, fellowship, make-n-takes, gifts, and of course plenty of stamping!  We both had a great time, however, were so ready to get back home.

High Tide and Colorful Seasons Stamp Sets Meet

I paired up the High Tide and Colorful Seasons Stamp Set and coordinating Seasonal Layers Thinlits for this fun retirement card.  I decided to make this a fun fold card (no worries, I have details for you below), as this was a special card for my special friend.

I took a close up photo here so you can see the beautiful, no line sponging I created for my sunset.  Did you notice how smooth the sky looks?  Yep, I used the glycerine technique I had shared in an earlier post HERE.  I am absolutely loving how smooth and soft my sponging is now.  You can also go to YouTube HERE to see the video.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit with me today, and in case you want to replicate this card, I have details on how to cut and score the card below, along with a list of all the products I used below.  If you would like to order any of the products, be sure and select the products below and you will be taken directly to my online shopping store.

Now it’s your turn, go and create something beautiful, and send it on its way.

Card Details:

Thick Whisper White Cardstock: 4-1/4″ X 11″, scored at 2-3/4″, 5-1/2″, 1-1/4″ X 11″, scored at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2″ as well.  Scraps to cut the lemonade glasses, sentiment, and white Adirondack chair
