Above the Clouds Kite Card

Above the Clouds Kite Card

I saw a cute kite card which caught my eye on Pinterest, only instead of making a small card like the one I saw, I decided to add mine to a regular card base so I can include a bit more of a message.  I think these cards are absolutely adorable and would be a fun and unique card for a graduate, promotion, etc.  I really like how it turned out.

I have card details for you at the bottom of this post.

Follow your Art designer series paper, pacific point ink, above the clouds stamp set, pacific point cardstock, whisper white cardstock, thick whisper white cardstock, coastal cabana cardstock, pineapple pinch 1/8” grosgrain ribbon, grapefruit grove 1/8” grosgrain ribbon, stampin’ trimmer whisper white Cardstock dimensionals multipurpose liquid glue take your pick, SNAIL adhesive stampin’ up! demonstrator how to diy handmade homemade rubber stamping crafts cardmaking

Follow Your Art DSP

Did you already figure out I used the Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper?  These are so much fun, and coordinate beautifully with the It Starts With Art Stamp Set, but I used it in a different way as you can see from my project.  When I was looking through my DSP’s, this paper just “screamed” kite to me.

As you can see from my photo, I incorporate some 1/8″ Grapefruit Grove and Pineapple Punch Grosgrain Ribbon as well as some Whisper White Baker’s Twine for the kite tail.  Eeek, so stinkin’ cute, right?

I stamped one of the sentiments from the Above The Clouds Stamp Set on the outside of the kite, as well as the inside.

It’s a gloomy day today in Georgia, so I apologize the details on my project aren’t great, but in case you can’t see it, I embossed the Pacific Point and Coastal Cabana layers with the Ruffled Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (whew, that is a mouthful!).

If you are visual like me and would like a video and downloadable tutorial, be sure and leave me a comment, and I will be happy to oblige!

In the meantime, I have listed for you below all the products I used for this super, duper cute card.  I so appreciate your stopping by and your business.  Don’t forget, you can also download the Supply List below and then head on over to my 24/7 Online Store HERE!
