Sometimes you need a hug

A dear friend at church had some bad news and I wanted them to know I was thinking of them and wish I could just give them a hug, so I created this card to send my hug with a fold in the middle.

Project details will be at the bottom of this post.

Detailed bands dies, magnolia lane designer series paper, Good Morning Magnolia stamp set, splitcoaststampers, Magnolia Blooms stamp, leaf punch, mossy meadow cardstock, basic adhesive backed sequins, basic rhinestone jewels, clear faceted gems, memento black ink, thick whisper white cardstock, whisper white cardstock, stampin’ trimmer, very vanilla cardstock, crumb cake Cardstock, dimensionals, paper snips, multipurpose liquid glue take your pick, SNAIL adhesive stampin’ up! demonstrator how to diy handmade homemade rubber stamping crafts cardmaking

Hand-Lettered Prose Dies

I used the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper on the bottom, some Mossy Meadow Cardstock on top of the Whisper White first layer, which is over the Petal Pink Cardstock base.  The Mossy Meadow layer is attached with dimensionals.

I stamped the single magnolia flower shown in the above photo with Tuxedo Black Ink and colored in with my Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow Combo markers.

I die cut the word hugs four times, then layered them together with some Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I cut a couple of extra flowers because I feel as long as I am cutting and coloring, well, why not just do a few extras and have them ready for later.  I added one of the extra flowers to the inside of my card and stamped and colored the envelope with the same bloom for complete coordination.

Thank you for visiting with me today, I hope I have inspired you to go create something beautiful and send it on its way.
