As you can see by the smiles of these cute pumpkins, you can change their expression with just a swerve of your Black Stampin’ Write Marker.  The “body and “eyes are all the same for each of these cute characters.  Each character has different Embossing Folders I use on each.  Let’s get started.

Hey Pumpkin’

First I used one of an Acetate Box Cards which I cut in half.  You will have 2 projects you can create with one Acetate Box!

I cut a piece of Pumpkin Pie Cardstock to 4-1/2″ X 6-1/2″, scored it at 3″, and at 3-1/2″ on the 6-1/2″ long/side.

I embossed the Pumpkin Pie Cardstock with the 3D Pink Plank Embossing Folder and sponged the edges all around with Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink and a Sponge Dauber.  I drew the quirky smiles with my Black Stampin’ Write Marker.

I punched the eyes for all the characters used the 1-1/2″ Circle Punch for the outer Pumpkin Pie eye,  the 1-1/4″ Circle Punch for the White inner eye, and the 1/2″ Circle Punch for the black pupil.  Again, you can make the eyes looks funny, scary, and quirky by simply positioning them in various position on the face!  I attached the eyeball on the right with some SNAIL adhesive and the eyeball on the left with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the Gather Together Dies with and cut out the leaves with some Old Olive Cardstock.  Can you stand how gorgeous it cuts AND embosses the leaves in one swipe!  I’m in love!  I sponged the leaves with Old Olive Classic Ink and a Sponge Dauber.  I attached them to my character with Mini Glue Dots.

I cut a piece of Early Espresso Cardstock and 1″ X 1-3/4″, and tapered it to make the pumpkin stem.  I also attached the stem with Mini Glue Dots to the top of the face.

I added a Cajun Craze Linen bow from the Gather Together Ribbon Back.  I added the some Crumb Cake Ribbon with the satin edge on another, and Burlap on the third one.

Lastly, I stamped the Trick or Treat sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and cut out the sentiment into two pieces with my Paper Snips.  I adhered it to my pumpkin with some Mini Glue Dots.  We will call this one done!

Mr. Ghost

I used one of an Acetate Box Cards which I previously cut in half.

I cut a piece of Whisper White Cardstock to 4-1/2″ X 6-1/2″, scored it at 3″, and at 3-1/2″ on the 6-1/2″ long/side.

I embossed the Whisper White Cardstock with the NEW Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder in the 2019 Holiday Catalog.

I used the smallest oval die, from the Layering Oval Dies with Basic Black Cardstock, it was too long, so I cut it smaller by placing the same small die over the one I had just cut and made it smaller.

I punched the eyes for all the characters used the 1-1/2″ Circle Punch for the outer Basic Black eye,  the 1-1/4″ Circle Punch for the White inner eye, and the 1/2″ Circle Punch for the black pupil.  I attached the eyeball on the right with some SNAIL adhesive and the eyeball on the left with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I attached the mouth with some SNAIL adhesive.

It’s Frankie

Again, I used one of the Acetate Boxes I had cut in half, then I cut a piece of Old Olive Cardstock to 4-1/2″ X 6-1/2″, scored it at 3″, and at 3-1/2″ on the 6-1/2″ long/side.

I embossed the Old Olive Cardstock with the NEW Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder from the 2019 Holiday Catalog, and sponged the edges all around with Old Olive Classic Ink and a Sponge Dauber.  I drew the quirky smiles with my Black Stampin’ Write Marker.

I punched the eyes for all the characters used the 1-1/2″ Circle Punch for the outer Old Olive eye,  the 1-1/4″ Circle Punch for the White inner eye, and the 1/2″ Circle Punch for the black pupil.  Again, you can make the eyes looks funny, scary, and quirky by simply positioning them in various position on the face!  I attached the eyeball on the right with some SNAIL adhesive and the eyeball on the left with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut a piece of Basic Black Cardstock at 3/4″ X 4-1/2″ and used my Paper snips to cut the hairline by making little V’s across the front, I attached it with my SNAIL Adhesive.

Witchiepoo

And again, I used one of the  Acetate Box Cards which I cut in half, then cut a piece of Granny Apple Green Cardstock to 4-1/2″ X 6-1/2″, scored it at 3″, and at 3-1/2″ on the 6-1/2″ long/side.

I embossed the Granny Apple Green Cardstock with the Eyelet Lace Embossing Folder and sponged the edges all around with Granny Apple Green Classic Ink and a Sponge Dauber.  I drew the quirky smiles with my Black Stampin’ Write Marker.

I punched the eyes for all the characters used the 1-1/2″ Circle Punch for the outer Granny Apple Green eye,  the 1-1/4″ Circle Punch for the White inner eye, and the 1/2″ Circle Punch for the black pupil.  Again, you can make the eyes looks funny, scary, and quirky by simply positioning them in various position on the face!  I attached the eyeball on the right with some SNAIL adhesive and the eyeball on the left with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I wanted the witch to have a “wart”, so I used one of the Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets which I colored in with the Granny Apple Green Dark Blend Marker.

I cut a piece of Basic Black Cardstock at 2″ X 1″, I made a pencil mark at the 1″ point on the 2″ side of the cardstock, then cut from the bottom to the top of the pencil mark on both side to create the point on the witches hat, then I used my Layering Circles Dies to cut a half of a large circle for the bottom of the witches hat.  I added the small bow from the 3/8″ Tricolor Ribbon.  I used Mini Glue Dots to attach it to the hat.

  1. Gloria, your treat boxes are adorable! Might need to case these…….

  2. These are adorable but I’m wondering about the “acetate box cut in half” instruction. In half how? There are several ways to cut one in half and there are no instructions for how to do this. Is it horizontally through both layers, vertically? Do you cut it like one front, one back and one thin vertical size piece on each piece? I might be missing something but I don’t see anything about this.
