Wishing You Well
Today is an absolutely gorgeous day in Social Circle, GA, thank you, heavenly Father! I decided to go outside and take a pic of the project I created for you today. Well, let me tell you, this creature greeted me and yessssssssss, I screamed like a girl!!! Ugh, I do not like snakes, bugs, insects, creatures, and so on, you get the jest, right? It’s probably harmless, but to me, it looked like a 20-foot boa constrictor!
OK, enough about today’s experience, let’s move on to my project.
Cup of Christmas meets Gather Together
I originally wanted to make a little basket for my wheat, however, as you know we don’t have a basket in this set or any other, so I improvised. I received my Demo Order a couple of days ago and remembered the Cup of Christmas Stamp Set/Bundle I had in my box (yes, I hadn’t emptied it out yet), and I checked to see if the wheat would fit nicely in the cup and guess what, it did! Yippee!
I used the large leaf from the Gather Together Stamp Set on my Mint Macaron card base by inking up some Mint Macaron Classic Ink and stamping off, then stamping onto my card base. I also hadn’t used the Winter Knit 3D Embossing folder, so I used it on the 2-3/4″ X 4-1/4″ strip of Pretty Peacock Cardstock across the front of my card. I adhered the panel with my Liquid Glue onto my card base.
I cut a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock, and some Early Espresso Cardstock with the Layering Circles Dies to help make the “cup of wheat” my focal image. I used a piece of scrap Very Vanilla Cardstock and stamped my wheat image with Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, and Early Espresso Classic Ink. I stamped on the same scrap of paper my sentiment with Pretty Peacock Classic Ink then proceeded to hand fussy cut all my pieces. So relaxing to me. I also stamped the out of the cup from the Cup Of Christmas Stamp Set onto a piece of Come To Gather Designer Series paper (ha, no fussy cutting needed because I used the coordinating Cup of Cheer Dies, score!
I adhered all my piece with lots of Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used some Linen Thread to create a bow around the wheat sprigs and attached it with some Mini Glue Dots.
I thought the last thing I was going to do was add some Metallic Gold Pearls to my card front, but it looked like it needed something, so I pulled out my Gold Delicata Ink Refill, an old paintbrush, and splattered my card front. Yep, still needed something, so I used the leftover ink on my brush and added some gold to my ribbon center and ends. Now it looked done to me. What do you think? Overdone, just right?
Onto the inside, because the card front was so ornate, I decided to keep the inside very simple. I stamped the large leaf image from the Gather Together Stamp Set with Mint Macaron Classic Ink onto a 4″ X 5-1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock and added it to the inside of my card. By the way, my Very Vanilla envie is also stamped with the leaf (we sure love coordination, right?).
Thank you for visiting with me today, I hope I have inspired you to go create something beautiful and send it on its way.

Oh my! I am not fond of snakes either and would also have “screamed like a girl”. However, your commentary AND card put a smile on my face. 🙂
Haha, Linda, I don’t like snakes either, but hubby tells me I was brave to get a photo, and the snake it friendly, keeps really bad snakes away.
Oh my, that would have scared the crap out of me. Harmless or not. No go joe for this kid. LOL! Your card is so Awesome! Love it! It speaks Fall with some pumpkin spice. Thank you for sharing. ??
I feel ya, Karen, glad you liked this project. Hugs girl!
