Happy Tails to You

Every time I see the name of the Happy Tails Stamp Set it reminds me of the song, Happy Trails to You, ha!

It makes me sad when a friend loses a dear furry baby, but I know it happens. I wanted the card to say a simple I’m sad with you, therefore a simple card.

I started with a Soft Suede Cardstock base cut at 8-1/2″ X 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″.  I added a layer from the 6″ x 6″ Neutral Designer Series Paper in the coordinating Soft Suede color which I cut at 4-1/8″ X 5-3/8″.

The next layer is a piece of Real Red Cardstock cut at 3-3/4″ X 4-5/8″.  The sentiment Whisper White Layer is cut at 3-1/4″ X 4-1/2″

I stamped the little furry fella on a separate piece of Whisper White Cardstock and colored him in with some Light and Dark Crumb Cake Blends. I also used some Light Pool Party Blends around the dog and his bowl, so he didn’t look like he was floating on air.  I punched the fella out using the Dog Builder Punch.  I stamped the bowl directly on the Whisper White Cardstock layer as well as the sentiment from the Happy Tails Stamp Set.  I cute Real Red Cardstock heart, and this project is done on the front of the card.

Next up is the inside of the card, because everything looks so much better when you coordinate the inside of your cards!

I added a piece of Whisper White cardstock I cut at 4″ X 5-1/4″, then adhered a 3/4″ X 4″ piece of the same Neutral DSP.  I added a piece of 3/8″ X 4″ piece of coordinating Real Red Cardstock and an adorable heart from the leftover pieces I had from a previous card I made using the Details Heart Die.  The Dog Builder Punch has a cute heart you could also use instead.
