Best Catch

Hubby and I celebrated our 36th Anniversary on May 6th, and I loved the sentiment from the Best Catch Stamp Set, so I went with it for his anniversary card. 

36th Anniversary

I can’t believe its been 36 years, I mean it literally feels like last year!  I married my best friend, and I love him with all my heart and soul.  He’s just the best man I could have ever dreamt of in my life. 

OK, enough gushiness, on to the project.  I started with an 8-1/2″ X 5-1/2″ piece of Mossy Meadow Cardstock for my card base.  I cut two pieces of Whisper White Cardstock at 4″ x 5-1/4″ one for the first layer of the front of the card, and another for the inside. I stamped one of the Whisper White pieces with the Birch Stamp and some Seaside Spray Classic Ink.  

I also used an 8-1/2″ X 5-1/2″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock to stamp all the images I inked up with Soft Suede Classic Ink for my project.

I used the Perennial Essence Vellum to cut out 4 of the greenery with the coordinating Catch of the Day dies.  I colored the tops of the greenery with my dark Soft Suede Stampin’ Blend Marker.

I colored in each of the elements on my card using the Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Calypso Coral, Old Olive Combo Blends Markers.   I adhered two pieces of greenery with Snail and the next two with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The basket, hat, and hook were added with Snail Adhesive.  I added the man with the fishing pole and the fish with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Best Catch Stamp Set on a scrap piece of Whisper White Cardstock with Soft Suede Classic Ink, and then cut it out with my Paper Snips.

The last thing I did was add some Shimmery Crystal Effects on the Fish, and the band on the fishing hat.
