Paper Pumpkin May 2020
I received my box of goodness this week, it’s my May 2020 Paper Pumpkin. It’s filled with all the NEW 2020-2022 In-Colors and a Misty Moonlight Mini Ink Pad.
The three cards shown here are the original instructions in the kit. The colors are so fun and cheerful. Check out those adorable flower embellishments.
2 Alternative Cards
I really like the design of the cards in the kit, but like I do every month, I like to challenge myself to create something a bit different. Here are the two alternative cards I created.
This simple card uses the Purple Posy card base, then I used the element in the kit and die cut it using the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut three panels. I adhered the panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I had a precut Whisper White Stitched Nested Die piece I used to stamp the greeting from the kit with the Misty Moonlight Mini Ink Pad. I one of the flower embellishments in half and tucked it between my panels.
My second card again uses the Just Jade card base included in the kit and some of the pre-die-cut cloud pieces. The rainbow is one of the card panel pieces I fussy cut, and then added behind my clouds. I stamped the sentiment from the kit on a piece of Whisper White cardstock and fussy cut it with my Paper Snips. Lastly, I sprinkled a few of the flower embellishments and called this project done.
As I mentioned above, when you cut your embellishments in half using your Paper Snips you can get more if you tuck them behind a panel, as I did here.
Thank you for visiting with me today, I hope I have inspired you to go create something beautiful and send it on its way.

Hi Gloria, this is Gloria, LOL! I never thought about cutting my embellishments in half. What a great idea. I’ve never tried it! Thank you so much for sharing your alternatives and tip with us all! I love the idea of a little something different.
Hey Gloria! I am glad I was able to impart a new idea!
