International Blog Highlight August 2020

Celebrate Sunflowers
My daughter is ready for Fall, but I am not, I love, love, love the Summer. I know it is just around the corner now that we are into August, so I decided to go ahead and work on a fall(ish) themed project today.
Gather Together
I used a couple of stamp sets on my project, Celebrate Sunflowers, and Gather Together (a returning favorite from 2019) Stamp Sets. I also used the Christmas Layers Dies (not just for Christmas) with some Cinnamon Cider cardstock.
My project is mounted on an 8-1/2″ X 5-1/2″ piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4″. My second layer is a piece of Early Espresso cardstock cut at 4-1/8″ X 5-3/4″. The In Good Taste Designer Series Paper is cut at 4″ X 5-1/4″. I used one of the beautiful and thing Gold Hoops, which I adhered over my In Good Taste DSP with some “rolled up” Mini Glue Dots. I added my cut Cinnamon Cider piece and also added it with some rolled up Mini Glue Dots.
I stamped the sunflower image from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set with some Early Espresso Classic ink. I used Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie, Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends to color it in. I also stamped my pumpkin image from the Gather Together Stamp Set with some Early Espresso ink, and color it in with the same colors as my sunflower. I added my images with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used two strands of Linen Thread to create my bow and added it to the top of my Gold Hoops with some Mini Glue Dots.
I stamped my sentiment with Early Espresso Ink on a 1/2″ X 3″ piece of Whisper White cardstock and flagged it on the right side. I added my sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Lastly, I sprinkled some Metallic Pears (in gold). Now it was time to move on to the inside of my project.
I stamped the wheat image from the Gather Together Stamp Set with some Cinnamon Cider Classic ink. I also stamped another small sunflower from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set with Early Espresso ink and colored it the same way I did on the front of my card. I added the sunflower image with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.
