Special Someone

I had lots of these leftover squares from a previous project I created using the  Best Plaid Builders Dies.  I saved them because I knew I would think of some way to use them.  Like my momma always used to say, “waste not, want not”.  🙂

   

I recently saw a project on Pinterest which inspired me for my creation. I used the two small heart dies from the Special Day Dies, some of that “purple tape” and centered the hearts as best I could on the square pieces of Whisper White cardstock, and ran the pieces through my die-cutting machine.

I decided to use the Flowers For Every Season Designer Series Paper for the background of my heart.  I cut the Flowers for Every Season DSP down to 1″ strips.  I snipped the Foam Adhesive Strips down to fit behind the heart.  I added the Flowers for Every Season DSP behind the open-cut heart, trimming off anything that stuck out.

My card base is an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock, and scored at 4-1/4″.  I cut the second piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4″ x -5-1/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock and used the largest of the Rectangle Stitched Dies to trim it out.  I decided what order I wanted my Flowers for Every Season DSP to look like on my project, then used some Multipurpose Liquid Glue to add them to the Rectangle Stitched piece of Whisper White cardstock. I mounted the heart panel atop the Thick Whisper White cardstock base.

I stamped the sentiment from the Someone Special Stamp Set on a 1/2″ x 2-1/2″ strip of Whisper White Cardstock with some Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I trimmed the ends at an angle with my Paper Snips. I sprinkled a couple of 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots.

I snipped out a pretty flower from the Flowers for Every Season DSP with my Paper Snips and added it to the inside of my project.
