I hope some of you missed me while I was gone a whole week!
I was in El Paso, Texas (safest place in the United States), visiting my beautiful 91 year old momma for Mother's Day! Here is a picture of my sweet momma.
I was so hoping she would remember me, you see she has been stricken with a "horrible dieases" called dementia. I cried my eyes out, even though on the outside she looks beautiful, on the inside of her mind she is "lost".
It was heartwrenching to see her so scared, nervous and upset because she did not recognize us and kept asking us to please take her to see her family. I cannot begin to tell you how awful this disease is, especially to my sisters and brother who live in Texas and care for her. I so respect and love them more than I can ever say with words. They wil be forever precious in my heart for loving and caring for momma.
Until the next time, remember to hug the ones you love, none of us are promised "tomorrow"!
