Mary has a little lamb

Well today is Mary C. Birthday and we pulled off a surprise Birthday party for her.  Here is the card I made for her.

Mary card

I used our fabulous new 2012-2014 Rasberry  Ripple Cardstock, I love how rich it looks!  Some Very vanilla, and Old Olive carstock for the leaves (from the Owl Punch).   I used our new framelits to make a 3D type shadowbox card.

If you look closely the center of the card has a little girl holding a lamb.  This is from a "retired" stamp set call, All God's Children.  It was PERFECT for this Birthday Card I needed to make for Mary.  Why you ask?

Well Mary had been wanting to purchase a little lamb from a boutique called Van Gogh's in Covington, GA, when I found out I immediately purchased the lamb and had the owner set it aside for me.  Mary was sad, thinking she would not have her little lamb. Well, it was hard, but for 2 months we kept it a secret, and today my husband and I gave it to her at a surprise birthday party group of friends helped me pulled out!

Here she is with her cork lamb.  You see now why that retired stamp set was perfect!!  And of course, what would a birthday be with a cute birthday cake, right?

Yes, I had a fabulous friend and baker, make this cake for her Birthday.  It was absolutely beautiful and delicious!!!

I will show you another card I made for a friend of ours who celebrated her Birthday yesterday, June 30th.  July is a very, very, very busy month for birthday's in our family

Until the next  time, remember to hug the ones you love, none of us are promised "tomorrow"!
