Vintage Birthday Card

Today we took my sweet and godly friend Tracy to dinner for her birthday.  Her birthday was actually on, Saturday, June 30th, but she could only fit us in today……:-)     Here is the card I made her.

I wanted it to have a vintage feel to it.  when I finished it, my hubby asked, why did you tear some of the corners, lol…men!

I took our Pool Party seam binding ribbon and wet it a little, scrunched it up and microwaved it 15 seconds at a time, until I got the look I was going for, I love how with Stampin' Up we have our own "Demo Only" site where  we share fantastic ideas and techniques like this one.

I did use a few retired items (my bad, I know), but it just spoke Tracy to me, what can I say?  Here is a quick pic of my very precious friend.

Can you believe she is a mom of 4 boys and a husband of 24 years!  Gracious, she looks 24, right?  The Lord has blessed her with great genes and a beautiful heart.  Thank you Tracy for being my friend.  Love ya girl!

Until the next  time, remember to hug the ones you love, none of us are promised "tomorrow"!

Blessings, and until the next time, remember to hug the ones you love, none of us are promised tomorrow!
