Some Cool Treats

I just now got around to playing with the fun Cool Treats Stamp Set, and matching Frozen Treats Die.  Below is one of the cards my lovelies will be making this at Saturday's Stamp Club gathering, using this fun set!

I really like the big bold greeting, and fun font in this stamp set.  I used Chocolate Chip Cardstock for my base, and it has been a long time since I used it for any card base in a while.  As you can see I paired it up Watermelon Wonder Cardstock, plus the matching Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper.  One of the things I love about Stampin' Up! is how well they coordinate the designer papers, with the cardstock, with the ribbon, and so on.  No need to try and figure out what colors go with what, it's all done for us. All we need to do is sit, and create!

Added some fun ice cream on the inside .  Did you notice I used some of the fabulous, and FREE (with a qualifying $50.00 order) 3/8" Metallic Ribbon?  It's so yummy, and super soft.

The Tasty Treats Designer Series Paper is just so cute, and perfect, for some fun Birthday cards, don't you think?  The Frozen Treat dies are also so fun, it even has an adorable spoon for your ice cream sundae, with a cherry of course.

I didn't do a good job of capturing it in this picture, but I used the Fine-Tip Glue-Pen to add some chocolate oooie gooie goodness to the cone.  It looks like it is dripping and wet!  I lastly added some  of the fun Sprinkles Embellishments to the cone, cause who doesn't like sprinkles with their ice cream?  Exactly!  Ready for the card recipe?  See below.

The Details:

The Chocolate Chip Cardstock base  is 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2"″, scored, folded and burnished at 4-1/4″

The Watermelon Wonder layer is 4" x 5 1/4"

The next layer is the Tasty Treats Designer Series Paper, and is 3-3/4" x 5"

The Scalloped Oval Framelit Chocolate Chip Cardstock is 2-1/2" x 3-1/2"

The Whisper White layer is 2-1/4" x 3-1/4"

The greeting uses Whisper White is 1/2" x 2"

I stamped the sentiment with Chocolate Chip Classic Ink, and adhered the layers together using my favorite, Fast Fuse Adhesive.

I cut the Ice Cream Cone with some scrap Crumb Cake Cardstock, and did the same for the ice cream scoops using scrap Watermelon Wonder, and Peekaboo Peach Cardstock.  I fast fused the piece of the ice cream cone together, and added a couple of dimensionals to the back of it and adhered it to the card front.  While I was cutting out the ice cream parts with scrap paper, I cut out enough for a second cone I added on the inside.  I adhered the ribbon with 3 glue dots to ensure it didn't go anywhere. I adhered the inside ice cream cone with Fast Fuse as well.

The very last thing I did, was add some of the "Fine-Tip Glue-Pen to the ooie gooie chocolate syrup on the cone, and waited about 20 minutes, then added some of the Sprinkles Embellishments to the Fine-Tip Glue, so they are not going anywhere!
