I made these Birthday Cards with my beautiful daughter Kara in mind. Her Birthday is March 14th and I need to get it out today. I live in Georgia and she lives in Maryland, with my grandson Jason Jr. and hubby, Jason Sr. I miss them so.
I wish I could remember who, but someone said, Gloria, when you are making one card, why don't you just make 3 or 4 of them and build up your stash. Well, my stash is very built up (lol), so I will be selling my cards, and in fact have a card spinner in my studio set up! Anywho, I took their advice, and made 4 of these.
I'll be sending the "bear", (hubby calls her Care Bear, get it, Kara, Care, Bear?…I digress) this green Emerald Envy one. I love the color in the Moroccan Designer Series Papers! So yummy, and rich in color. Some folks think to vibrant, I love it. I love bright, vivid colors.
Here are the two different DSP's from the pack I used. It's the same sheet for each card, only I flipped the paper over to create the second panel on the bottom. This is the exact same layout I used for the recent masculine cards I posted.
Here is a close up of this fun, and pretty good sized Stamp. The Stylized Single Stamp makes a statement all by itself. I love it, and I love you. Hope you'll come visit me again soon. Here are the details for the card.
Card Base – 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
One card layer is Early Expresso, the other is Delightful Dijon – 4" x 5-1/4"
The next layer down is the DSP – 3-3/4" x 5"
The bottom smaller layer is either Early Expresso, or Delightful Dijon 2-1/8" x 3-3/4"
The Smaller DSP Layer is – 2" x 3-3/4"
I used the 3" Circle Layer Framelits to cut the sentiment, and the 3-1/3" Scalloped Circle Framelit to hug the sentiment in either Expresso or Dijon.
I adhered all of the layers with Fast Fuse, "except" for the sentiment, I added dimensionals on the back, then added to the finished Card.
The final touch was an enamel heart from the In-Color Enamel dots collection. Done!
