Welcome to the Blog Hop for March 2017. This month our theme is “Sale-A-Bration”. You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Designz By Gloria or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting Designz By Gloria.
Let's get started. I decided to ink up my "Oh So Succulent" Stamp Set again. The Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper has many beautiful colors to pick from. I decided on Sweet Sugarplum, Calypso Coral, and Pear Pizzazz.
I used the Mother's Day sentiment, although my momma has since gone on to be with Jesus, I still have one "pseudo" momma here, Mrs. Mary Clarke! She is as precious as can be, and loves me like her own….almost as much as I love her.
Do you see that sweet Metallic Ribbon on the card. I love me some bling, and new I wanted bling on the card, however, I didn't want to use Pearls or Rhinestones, and felt the luscious ribbon was just enough bling, you agree?
I used both dimensionals and Mono Liquid Multi-Glue to pop-up a few of the flowers. Not to much pop, so there is no problem mailing, but just a little pop, well, to give it some "Pop"! Oh, and guess what else I did with the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper?
Yes, I created my own Designer Series Paper Bead to match the pen! How cool is that? Come back soon to see how I make these and the pen! Great combo gift, well, at least I think so.
Did I mention I also decided to use a cute Fun-Fold? Yes I did. It's fun to try different types of cards, and here I used a simple, and sweet fun fold. I really like how well it "sits", nice and sturdy. Come back and visit me soon.
So to create the Fun Fold, the Calypso Coral cardstock is 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 2-1/8" and 4-1/4". The front left panel is Whisper White Cardstock 2" x 5"1/4", then the Succulent Garden DSP is 1-3/4" x 5". The second larger Whisper White panel is 5-1/4" x 4". Use your scraps to ink and stamp the succulents of your choice, and the Metallic Ribbon is cut at 15", tied, bowed, and trimmed. I used a glue dot behind the bow to keep it secure.
