Fidget Spinner Card

My grandkids are all about the Fidget Spinners!  I know it's a fad, but I had to buy them one….don't judge.  I'm a grandmother, and it's my job to spoil my grandkids a little bit. :-)  So, my grandson Ryan, asked me to make a card with a fidget spinner…..say what???  I automatically said sure, ok.  What was I thinking?  So off I go to my studio and figure out how in the world I was going to make a fidget spinner card.   Here is what I finally came up with.

Fidget Spinner Card 6

What do you think?  Well, I know it doesn't exactly look like a fidget spinner, but it's close, right?  I decided it would be fun to make this an interactive card, so I used my Sliding Start Framelit Dies to make this work.

I used our Oval Framelit dies, and cut out two of the second to the smallest ovals in Real Red Cardstock.

Next, I used the "smile" from the Sliding Star Framelits to create the mechanism which will make this little fella swing back and forth.

I added some Foam Adhesive Strips to the back of the Whisper White Cardstock to allow the mechanism to slide without getting caught.

Fidget Spinner Card 2

Once I put the pieces together, I placed a dimensional down the center of the spinner, then added a penny, added "2" more dimensionals which has been trimmed up to a round shape, then added the second penny.  Walla, your mechanism!

Now for the sentiment, I wanted one that was "not" in our catalog, or part of the coordinating Shooting Star Stamp Set, so I made my own using the Labeler Alphabet Stamp set.  Call it done!
