Tent Calendar Gifts

Hubby will be delivering my Stamp Club orders tomorrow (we’ve had snow in Georgia, stops everything dead in their tracks), and I made these cute little Tent Calendar holders for my ladies.

I created everything except for adding the calendar, and the calendar arrived just in time to complete these before my Stamp Club order was delivered, whew!  I love how they turned out, and these I hope will come in handy all year long.  I made one for myself as well.  I used the Fruit Basket Bundle and the Tutti-Frutti  6×6 Designer Series Paper.  The DSP is so versatile too, one side is different fruits, and the other is a fun pattern you can use on any card type.

Did you notice the little snow flakes on my picture above?  I live in the South (Georgia), and although we get a “taste” of the seasons, we rarely get any snow, well that changed this past Wednesday.  Because we did have snow, our state is not really equipped to handle the snow, and so everyone was told to stay off the roads as much as possible.  Here’s a peek of our front yard and back yard on Wednesday morning.

Can you see the Cardinal on the bird feeder below.  He’s a chubby little fella.  Papa ensure his birdies have plenty of food!

I digress, back to the Calendar Tent Holder.  It’s super easy to create this fella, because you need a regular size 4-1/4″ X 11″, scored at the 5-1/2″ sheet of cardstock. Details will be listed below.

In addition to the Fruit Basket Bundle, I also used the scallop die piece from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits.  Don’t forget (like I most often do) to check the dies from your stash and use them in a different way.

See what I mean regarding the versatility of the DSP on this picture?  Melons on one side, and a fun pattern on the other, which by the way makes it super easy when you want to combine two patterns, colors, etc.  All the work is done for you by Stampin’ Up, yay!!

Details of the Calendar Tent Holder

Real Red Cardstock – 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5-1/2″, a second to create the tent cut at 4″ x 4″, scored at 1/2″, 2″, and 3-1/2″ to create the W.

Tutti-Fruit DSP, one part (melon) 2″ x 5-1/2″, a second pattern cut at 3″ x 3″

Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock – 1-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ used for the scallop

Whisper White Cardstock – Sentiment 2-3/4″ x 2″, scraps for the pears

Thank you for visiting with me today, I truly appreciate you taking the time to spend some time with me.  I hope I have inspired you to create something beautiful today.  Life is too short to wait and create!

Blessings, and until the next time, remember to hug the ones you love, none of us are promised tomorrow!
