A dear friend of ours, Don C. had a birthday last week, and I made his birthday card using some of my new 2018 Occasions goodies. I started out with the Truly Tailored Stamp Set, and the coordinating Tailored Tag Punch.
Add some fun and really nice masculine True Gentlemen Designer Series Paper, and you have got yourself a great masculine card. Oh wait, did I mention the yummylicious Night of Navy 3/8″ Corduroy Ribbon? Oh yes, a must have because it is super soft, pliable, and oh so masculine.
From the photo above, you can see I used 2 different types of tied ribbon. One is a simple knot bow, and the other is two piece cut to create the adorable bow you see in the photo. Which bow do you prefer? I like them both, but do have a preference. Let’s see if we agree……wink……wink.
Here is a closer photo of the knot on this card. Isn’t the True Gentlemen Designer Series Paper just perfect for this masculine card? It’s got some great images, and will definitely be creating some fun cards with this paper.
The colors in this stack are Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, Night of Navy, Tranquil Tide, and Very Vanilla. I think they all “scream” masculine!
Here is the second bow I created. Such a rich looking ribbon, I’m in love. Did you also noticed the sentiment? Yep, I stamped the sentiment on Very Vanilla, and “hand cut” the sentiment as close to the Night of Navy lines as I could, then using the Tailored Tag Punch and some Night of Navy Cardstock, punch the tag, and it fit perfectly nested together. Score!
Another very versatile item in the Stamp Set is it had inside card greetings, as well as the outside. How fun is this?! I inked up the sentiment on the outside and inside with some Night of Navy Classic Ink. Consider this bad boy done!
