Welcome to the Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop for February 2018. This month our theme is Lions, Tigers, & Bears, OH My! You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Gloria Plunkett @ Designz By Gloria or may have come from the person previous to me on the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.
I am excited to share this fun creation with you, and hope I inspire to you to go create something beautiful too!
The theme of the hop is “Lions, Tigers, and Bears, Oh My!”. Well, these are none of those, however, they are adorable, would you agree? You know I had to use the new Blossoming Basket Stamp Set, and the New Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder to create this adorable birthday card. There is a lot going on here!
Not sure if you can see it in the photo, but I fussy cut the basket, and the sweet little pups! I added dimensionals to the basket bottom, and adhered the pups behind it with some Tombow Mono Liquid glue. I used my Stampn’ Blends to color them all in (don’t worry, details and products used are below).
Can you see on this photo where I added some sprinkles to the card? It was super easy, just add water to the ink well of the Stampin’ Pad, and using your aqua painter, sop it up a bit, then use your finger to simply tap the aqua painter excess onto your card. Be careful not to over spray your card, or will be a gloppy mess.
I added some Silver Baker’s Twine around the balloons to mimic strings holding them together and onto the basket. I tucked the extra strands behind the ribbon bow, and held them together with a glue dot. This card is really super easy to create, albeit some fussy cutting. I actually find it relaxing so I don’t mind these types of cards.
Thank you for stopping by today, and hope you will enjoy the rest of the hop. Have a blessed day, and be sure to come back and visit me for more fun inspiration!

This so so cute! I love your basket full of puppies!
What a colorful and happy card you created Gloria.
Cute! Who wouldn’t want a basket of puppies?
Turning flowers into puppies! So creative, Gloria!
The puppies in the basket are darling!
Love your basket full of puppies!! And you fussy cut them! Adorable.
I love this card!! I have a question. When cutting the flowers from the original flowers from the basket did you redraw the rim of the basket? The flowered spill over the edge and cover the rim. Thanks
