Hold On To Hope

Today I decided to ink up my Hold On To Hope stamp set.  I pulled out the coordinating dies, but ended up not using them on these cards.

—–We interrupt this program to notify you, “no need” to write down the dimensions for the card, I have a FREE printable tutorial for you below———

The card is so simple, yet it gets the encouraging message across, would you agree?  I hadn’t used my So Saffron Ink or Cardstock in such a long time, I decided, well, it was time.  I also used my very much unused Chocolate Chip Cardstock, and ink.  Not sure why I haven’t used them, as I like them very much.  Oh well, they are dusted off and being used once again.

On this card I decided to use “another neglected color”, my Perfect Plum!  I am a purple girl, but I tend not to use this color because I love it so much…..does that even make sense?  I could/would probably make all my cards purple if I didn’t stop myself each time I sit to create.  I added some 1/8″ Fresh Fig Sheer Ribbon to the bottom of the card, and I think it matched up pretty nicely, what do you think?

Here I decided to add some ribbon to the card as well, using the 1/4″ Copper Trim Ribbon, to somewhat coordinate with the Chocolate Chip Cardstock.  Did you notice the splash of small pearls on the cards?

TIP: When adding embellishments to your card, use an “odd” number, it is much more pleasing to the eye.

And we carried on the front sentiment, and finished it up on the inside.  I stamped a little flourish over the words with the lighter So Saffron color to add a little something, something. 🙂
