We have this beautiful Stamp Set called Waterfront. You can use it to create many type of water colored looks, mountains, oceans, beaches, and so on. I chose the ocean, one of my favorite vacation destinations.
Mind you I am “not” anywhere near close to being even decent at water coloring anything, but this stamp set made it much easier, and it give your card the needed texture, I love it!
The stamp has everything you need, and some fun sentiments as well. I loved the simplicity of “friend”, so I went with it. And I know exactly who I will be sending this card out to this week. Every month my husband, and myself, plus 3 other couples play a game called “Hand and Foot”. This month our dear friends Pat and Pete M. will be hosting, and they will be receiving this card.
It’s wonderful for me that the stamp set helps me create the scene, then I went in with my Aqua Painter and softened up the color all around. Mind you, this is my very first attempt, so be patient as I learn how to use this stamp set a bit more….. 🙂
I used several shades of ink, Pacific Point, Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder, Wild Wasabi, Lemon Lime Twist, Garden Green, Peekabo Peach, Crumb Cake, and Sahara Sand Classic Ink Pads. I know, I used a lot of colors! I stamped the images on our Watercolor Paper, and I used our Thick Very Vanilla Cardstock for my base, and some Pacific Point Cardstock for a bit of color for behind the Watercolor Paper. Oh, I also taped all around the watercolor paper with some Washi tape. I used my grid paper to get the 1/4″ frame all around.
