Sweet Soiree for Mother’s Day

I am trying to use up all my designer series paper, and doing it “wisely”!  Here you can see I used the Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper on my cards, and the Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper to cover those yummy chocolates!

With just one piece of 4″ X 12″ Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper, I made these 3 pretty cards.  I like how they turned out, and I love super quick, super easy, and super cute!  Do you see the new Pearlized Doilies I used here.  They are going to be the perfect size for cardmaking.  I am loving them, pearlized on one side, and a matte finish on the other so you can color them to your hearts contact to match all your Stampin’ Up! colors!

Here is a close up and much better picture.  I used Berry Burst Cardstock as my base, and added some 3/8″ Berry Burst Metallic-Edge Ribbon too.  The sentiment is from the Eastern Beauty Stamp Set as these will be gifted tonight to 3 very dear friends of mine, when we gather with out husbands to play a card game called, Hand and Foot!  We’ve been playing this card game for over 10 years…….so much fun!!

Since this is Mother’s Day weekend, I wanted to give them each a fun piece of “happy”, and chocolate usually does the trick.  I prettied up the chocolates bites with some Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper (yep using it up friends), and prettied them up a bit.  I love how pretty the Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Papers shines, and matches my card beautifully.

Here is a close-up of the dolled up chocolate candy.  I would much rather received a simple piece of chocolates dolled up like this, wouldn’t you?  Just makes the chocolate taste better, lol!
