Another Shimmery Blended Seasons with Tutorial
I am loving how easy these blingy cards are to make, and I have a tutorial to share with you. I am a visual person, so I hope these photos help you pull one together yourself!
You’ll need some Window Sheets, Stazon Ink, and an image, here I am using the flora image from the Blended Seasons Bundle. I can’t get enough of this very versatile Bundle. I’m working on more Fall and soon Christmas Cards too.
I marked the front of my Window Sheet with the word front, because I didn’t want to get mixed up and start coloring on the front and ruin my project. You’ll need to “flip” your image over, once its dried, and start your coloring on the “back”. Trust me, you will know if you are on the wrong side!!!
I used the Poppy Parade Dark, and Old Olive Dark Stampin’ Blend Alcohol Markers.
After you have colored in your image, take some Glue Dots (I rolled mine up), and strategically place them on your image (see picture above?. Since I am adhering the Window Sheet to some Silver Glimmer Paper, I new Glue Dots were going to hold my project in place the best, and it did.
Next, lay the Window Sheet to the top of the Silver Glimmer Paper, and cut both pieces together with your Paper Snips.
Now your artwork is ready for whatever project you want to make. I decided on a card. I just adore the super bling using this technique!!
I used Poppy Parade for my Cardbase, and the coordinating Stitched Seasons Framelits Dies on my card. Yes, I use a lot of Dimensionals, but I figure, if I take the time to create something beautiful for someone, I don’t want the Post Office smooshing my project before it gets to the intended recipient.
Then I added some Real Red Rhinestones (like it really needed more bling, right?), and they coordinated just beautifully with my card! There you have it, all done! Super easy, right? Yeah, you know my motto, “I love easy”!
Thank you so much for visiting with me today. I hope I have inspired you to give this technique (we shall call it, stained glass technique) a try and let me know what you think. As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me directly, and I will get back with you as quickly as I can.
I so appreciate your business, and for your shopping convenience, I have included all the products I used on this card, simply select the product below and you will be taken to my online store. In addition, you can download the supply list below if that is easier for you.
Hope you’ll be back soon to visit with me!
