A dear friend of mine has a birthday this week, and I decided to use the new Piece of Cake Stamp Set from the upcoming 2019 Occasions Catalog, and Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper to create her birthday card.

I used a piece of Thick Whisper White Cardstock for my card

base (card details below), then cut a piece of the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper from the SAB Catty pictured above. The striped piece of DSP measures 1-1/4″ X 5-1/2″, then a piece of the Highland Heather flowered DSP which measure 3-1/2″ X 5-1/2″.  Next up,  I added a 1/4″ X 5-1/2″ piece of Granny Apple Green between the two DSP’s, added a beautiful bow from the Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack in the SAB Catty.  Love, love, love how well they all coordinate!

I stamped the cake on a piece of Whisper White cardstock, then cut the sentiment/image out with my Stitched Shaped Framelits.  Colored the image in with my Stampin’ Blends in Highland Heather, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, and Granny Apple Green.  I used the Color Lifter to remove some color from the sentiment to give it a bit of a highlight.  What do you think?

I added one of my Pearlized Doilies to the bottom of the Stitched Shape Circle I cut to give additional dimension “without” additional weight!

I hope I have inspired you to go create something beautiful and send it on its way.  You will make someone’s day, I promise you!  I hope you will come back to visit with me soon.
